Engage 2 Act (un)Conference 2017

On the 13 and 14 September 2017, a group of people passionate about all things community engagement will be meeting in St Kilda, Melbourne, at the Engage 2 Act 2017 (un)Conference.

The focus of the (un)Conference is ‘for the love of community engagement’.

Is it the practice itself? The people we encounter? The tools and techniques? The great things we learn along the way? The capacity we create? The transformation we witness? The legacy we leave?

The (un)Conference will explore all of these themes and more. It is for people at all levels of the community engagement experience, from students and new practitioners, to our respected engagement elders. We ask that everyone come prepared to contribute, and to be stretched….and above all, ready to share the love.

MosaicLab is excited to be involved as one of this year's event 'advocates'.  We are also involved in the following ways:

Panel - is deliberation the answer?
Thursday 14 September - 9.50am

MosaicLab's co-founder Nicole Hunter will be one of the guest panellists on Thursday 14 September at the 'is deliberation the answer?' panel discussion,  while MosaicLab will also be running a curated workshop as part of the two day event.

Curated Workshop: Are you Deliberation Ready – What do organisations need to overcome or capitalise on to make the leap into the practice of deliberation?
Thursday 14 September - 11.50am

This fun and active workshop explores the tailwinds and roadblocks that either help or hinder an organisation getting on the road to undertaking a deliberation project. It will enable you to activate your creative thinking about the complex and sometimes difficult process of getting your organisation across the line on deliberative democracy approaches and principles. You can expect to walk away feeling energised after a laughter-filled 50 mins as well as having a greater understanding of factors that help and hinder internal commitment to deliberative practices.
