“I have a long held belief that people have a right to have a say in matters that affect them, in a way that is genuine and in a process that is respectful and meaningful.”

Belinda is an experienced facilitator with specialist skills in people and project management, facilitating, mediating, training and coaching.

Belinda has worked for various state government agencies, often in roles helping regulators build their capability to engage with their communities and encouraging industry and business to see customer engagement as a core part of doing business.

“Much of my community engagement experience has been “hands-on” in local government, setting up engagement teams, co-designing engagement policies, procedures and projects. I have facilitated community engagement sessions across various council operations from local laws, leisure and recreation, community and urban planning, environmental protection and waste and resource recovery.”

Belinda holds formal qualifications in education and law and her professional development includes facilitation, coaching, mediation and other forms of conflict management.

A naturally curious person, Belinda enjoys deepening her understanding of what makes humans tick.  She enjoys creating spaces for people to be heard, where they can come together to learn from each other and to deeply consider issues that contribute to better public decision making.

“I have a long held belief that people have a right to have a say in matters that affect them, in a way that is genuine and in a process that is respectful and meaningful.”

When she’s not working as a facilitator, Belinda enjoys being outside in fresh air and nature - the activity doesn’t have to be super active though! She enjoys walking, camping or gently cycling anywhere green.
