You’ve got the Golden Ticket.
We’re inviting a small group of customers to apply for our People’s Panel, and you’ve been chosen.
This is your chance to make sure our plans for the future address what matters most to our community, and be paid for your time. Your views will help shape the services we deliver, the investments we make and our pricing. The People’s Panel will consider this important question:
How CAN we balance the services our community needs, now and into the future, while keeping bills fair?
About the panel
The panel will include up to 50 people from different backgrounds. It will meet five times from August to November 2026. The panel will learn about the challenges, explore what affects pricing and services, consider the options, and make recommendations. You don’t need any special knowledge or experience.
Why the panel’s work matters
The panel puts customers and community at the heart of the next Price Submission. The Price Submission is reviewed by the Essential Services Commission (ESC) to set water and sewerage prices, services, infrastructure investments and standards from 1 July 2028 to 30 June 2033.

Five in-person sessions, 9:30am to 4:00pm. In person in Traralgon:
Panel day 1: Saturday 29 August 2026
Panel day 2: Saturday 12 September 2026
Panel day 3: Saturday 10 October 2026
Panel day 4: Saturday 24 October 2026
Panel day 5: Saturday 7 November 2026
Who can apply and how
You can register if you live in an area served by Gippsland Water, are aged 16 or older, are willing to listen, learn and share your opinion, and can attend all five sessions in full, and in person.

Current or recent (within the last five years) Gippsland Water board or staff
Current elected officials at any level of government
People aged under 16
Support to take part
If there’s anything we can do to support you to take part, for example an interpreter or transport, please let us know.
appreciation for your participation
After you complete all five sessions in full, you’ll receive $1,000 for your time and participation.
