“MosaicLab builds organisational capability, so that the understanding and value of good quality engagement is built into the organisations they work with.”

Lyndal has worked in local and state government for more than 25 years and in the community and stakeholder engagement field for 16 years.

Prior to MosaicLab, Lyndal developed and implemented an organisational community engagement framework for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP, now called DEECA - Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action) and led an engagement team of advisors for five years in the Victorian Government. Additionally, Lyndal was an adviser and facilitator with local government, including the City of Melbourne and Manningham City Council.

As a facilitator, Lyndal has guided citizens’ panels, developed capability programs, designed and advised on processes around highly complex and contentious topics. Some of these include bushfire preparedness and response, biodiversity planning, forest policy, local government processes such as community visions, business strategy development, water and energy strategy and price setting processes and large-scale urban planning projects.

Two notable examples of successful community engagement processes that Lyndal has designed and delivered include the Quit Victoria’s codesign with residents from public housing to look at how we reduce the impact of tobacco harm in our living environments and the Yarra Valley Water pricing submission citizens’ jury.

In 2022 and 2023, Lyndal has been heavily working with water and the energy sector on deliberative processes and where possible supporting projects that involve engaging with Traditional Owners and First Nations people.

Lyndal has a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Arts Administration from RMIT, a Graduate Certificate in Dialogue, Deliberation and Public Engagement from Kansas State University and an IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation.
