MosaicLab facilitators against a futuristic backdrop talking about what's next in community and stakeholder engagement as they say bye to 2025 and look forward to 2026

As we wrap up 2025, we’ve been reflecting on the many organisations and communities we’ve worked with this year.

Together with our clients, participants and partners, we’ve delivered 58 projects, including 9 deliberative processes, delivered processes across 2 countries and 5 Australian states and worked with 3 national organisations.

Thank you to everyone who invested their effort, time and resources this year into these impactful and meaningful projects, processes and training experiences. You make our work possible, and we truly love what we do.

so, what’s next?

We’re always looking to the future and seeking to lead where engagement and deliberative practice is going. So, in this short video, a few of our fabulous facilitators preview some of the shifts we see emerging in 2026.

MosaicLab facilitators talking about what’s next for community and stakeholder engagement as we head towards 2026

From AI becoming normalised as an enabler of deep and meaningful conversations to considering how to achieve representativeness in new ways, to going to what’s ‘hard’ with your community and stakeholders.

And that’s just the very tip of the iceberg - we really struggled to pick just three! We’re already seeing some organisations and sectors embracing exciting, evidence-backed innovations. And we think 2026 will bring further momentum to these shifts, which will be driven (in part) by increased community and stakeholder expectations, strengthened regulatory scrutiny and the need to make informed decisions around very difficult and complex issues.

Thanks to our facilitators who took part and a shout out to our behind the scenes crew! Some of our team members were behind the camera holding everything steady for our stars on the screen.

what’s shifting for you in 2026?

If you want to move forward towards a better engagement future, we’d love to chat, and we’re keen to talk to those who want to invest in impactful, forward-thinking engagement - which doesn’t always mean more expensive, but it does mean better returns on investment.

see you soon

Note though, if you are keen on a coffee (virtual or in-person) with us, our office will be closed from Monday 15th December, reopening Monday 5th January. We look forward to connecting with you in the new year and working with you to bring conversation and democracy alive.

Stay safe all.
