#MonthlyMyth - MosaicLab - Embedding Engagement across an organisation

Development of a high-level engagement framework, policy or strategy is an important step in building an engaging organisation.  Having this document finalised, however, does not indicate that the hard work is over.

Unfortunately, it’s all too common for organisations to invest time and resources into the creation of a document that means nothing to staff outside the engagement team. To truly embed engagement across an organisation, overarching strategies must be brought to life through implementation.

Today, we're addressing this myth by providing 10 ways to start embedding engagement across the organisation, and see your engagement strategy put into practice.

Myth:

To embed engagement across an organisation, all you need is a high level policy, strategy or framework.

IN REALITY:

A high-level engagement strategy, policy or framework isn’t enough on its own.  ‘Embedded’ doesn’t mean that one or two engagement champions understand and refer to an approved document.  This approach is reminiscent of external engagement ‘box ticking’ - just in an internal context.

For quality engagement to be embedded across an organisation, appropriate systems and processes need to be in place, and a program of ongoing learning and capacity building is required.  Staff need to understand their role in delivering the strategy, and require support, resources, leadership and encouragement.

The below free download provides 10 ways to embed this document across your organisation and see it put into practice:
